Walking Groups

Saskatoon *
Location: Saskatoon Field House
Time: 6:30pm

Details: SBIA's Saskatoon Chapter holds a walking group every week from September to May for survivors and their caregivers. Participants are encouraged to set their own personal fitness goals at the beginning of the program and work towards them throughout the year. Walking groups provide survivors and their families a chance to get some exercise while socializing with a support network. This program is designed to meet the needs of participants over the age of 18 who have sustained a brain injury and experience cognitive, physical and/or social challenges when participating in community based exercise. Walking is a great way to relieve stress as well as lower blood pressure, curb anxiety and depression symptoms, improve mood and foster a sense of well-being.
