Asset based approaches
Relationships with partners are based on a mutual respect for the contribution that each party brings. They are informed by shared vision and values. We work on the principle that each partner works with autonomy and independence and that there are clear roles and responsibilities. We also commit to joint learning and ongoing improvement. We hold ourselves accountable to these principles and seek to be held accountable by our partners and those they work with.

Your Partnership Matters
Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association’s position as a leading brain injury organization in Canada was built through decades of tenacious provincial development work. Crucial to the success of SBIA is the support of our partners who are equally committed to transforming the lives of brain injury survivors and their family members in Saskatchewan.
Brain injury can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time! It results from common everyday events like slips or falls. It can affect one’s life in a dramatic way through subtle yet significant changes to personality, abilities and mobility.
Each year, more than 2,000 people acquire a brain injury in Saskatchewan. A brain injury can have life-long effects, not only for the injured person but also for the family. Currently, the only cure for brain injuries is PREVENTION. That’s why your participation is so important!
Corporate social responsibility is an important consideration for companies. Establishing a strategic partnership with a trusted organization, such as SBIA, is a step toward engaging in corporate social responsibility.
Working with SBIA means being at the forefront of provincial development and prevention of brain injury. It gives your company the benefits of having a genuine partner to meet business needs while addressing provincial and federal issues in the process.
Our weekly meeting is my lifeline. I get to express myself, talk with others that understand me, and keep in contact with my friends. I have made lifelong friends who have the same brain injury problems as me. The programs that are run by SBIA give me strength to cope with my daily brain injury problems."
